PERIOD PRODUCTS BELONG IN PUBLIC PLACES

We call on legislators and policy makers across the country to advance menstrual equity legislation to put period products in schools, shelters, public buildings, and prisons. Menstrual health is a matter of human rights and everyone has the right to a life of dignity.

A special thank you to The Alliance for Period Supplies for their partnership. These maps highlight bills related to period products, menstrual health, equity, access, and/or taxation, currently being considered by state legislatures.  The listing of individual bills does not imply endorsement by PERIOD. and/or Alliance for Period Supplies.

The tampon tax (or tax on period products) refers to the sales tax rate that a state, county, and/or city government collects on the retail purchase of menstrual products

20 states still tax period products.
