Menstrual Hygiene Product Drive
The entire month of October we'll be collecting menstrual hygiene products at Soul Cafe, part of Traditions Fair Trade.
Additional drop off times are: October 3rd from 5pm-9pm, October 4th from 12pm-2pm in front of Traditions Fair Trade during Art Walk, and October 11th from 10am-12pm at the Women’s Club of Olympia Porch (1002 Washington St. SE).

Products for Power
We are partnering with feminism organizations as well as PERIOD Chapters to host donation drives starting on October 11th through November. Then, we will all hold packing parties and make kits based on the products we get.

PEP Rally: Menstrual Health Made Fun in Manhasset, NY
PEP Rally: Menstrual Health Made Fun Period Education Project is providing a menstrual health workshop, called a “PEP Rally”, guided by our amazing team of medical students at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons located in New York City. PEP Rallies are physician-created, medically-accurate workshops for under-resourced youth ages 9-16 that cover all the basics of menstrual health, from anatomy to phases of the menstrual cycle, to period product options and safe ways to use them to abnormal vs. normal menstrual patters and more. PEP Rallies are led by trained medical students from schools all across the country. The mission is two-fold, close knowledge gaps and de-stigmatize the topics of periods with trusted menstrual health education while giving medical students the opportunity to navigate these important conversations, serve their communities and become better future doctors.

Breaking the Cycle: Conversation & Care Kits
This event will engage youth in open and honest youth led conversation about menstrual health, health and self care. The goal is to break down stigma, share knowledge and encourage youth to join our local chapter to continue with advocacy work beyond the event.

Promoting Menstrual Health Equity: Research & Action
Join us for our virtual PAD event, featuring two panelists. Regan Moss, a doctoral researcher, will speak about her research on the impact of incarceration on menstrual hygiene and management. Laila Abed, a menstrual health advocate, will speak about how her advocacy is influenced by her Muslim faith.

Empower Your Cycle Workshop
Empower Your Cycle Workshop is an interactive event that helps participants learn about their menstrual cycle, product options, and self-advocacy. Hosted by The P.U.P.A Project for Period Action Day, the workshop encourages confidence, education, and action toward menstrual equity.

The Period Project 5K Walk or 1 Mile Run
The Period Project’s goal is to limit period poverty within the Omaha area, especially in schools. We are hosting a 5K to raise funds for products, then are hosting a community period packing party so we can then distribute those kits to local schools.

Period Action Day: What is a Period, Really?
PERIOD. @repro.justice956 is hosting an educational event to present on the menstrual cycle in the TAMIU Student Center Courtyard. This tabling event will include merch, presentation, menstrual chart making tutorial, and a period simulator to encourage thoughtful discourse on periods and menstrual equity.

UNC Period Action Day Rally
Hosted by the UNC Reproductive Health Task Force in partnership with Flow Forward, this rally is about more than access to products—it’s about equity, dignity, and student health. An estimated 86% of women find themselves without supplies when their period starts in public (Source: The Assembly). No student should ever face that reality on a campus like ours. Yet many still lack consistent access to free menstrual products, impacting attendance, focus, and well-being. Together with Flow Forward, we’ve distributed over 17,000 free menstrual products through our bin system and installed three permanent dispensers in the Carolina Union — with more coming soon to Davis, HSL, and UL. But when administrators pushed back on a campus-wide free access policy, we realized that change won’t come quietly. This rally is our voice. Our statement. Our reminder that menstrual health is student health, and that access should never depend on privilege or luck.

My Body, My Power
GIGI Inc. (Girls Igniting Greater Inner-Strength) is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls and women by building confidence, leadership, and inner strength. PERIOD. @ Santa Clara County, CA, under the national nonprofit PERIOD., is a youth-led chapter focused on advancing menstrual equity and education in our community. Together, our organizations are partnering to host My Body, My Power, a two-part virtual workshop series designed to teach the basics of menstrual biology while bridging the gap between menstruation, self-confidence, and body confidence. These interactive sessions will take place on Saturday, October 11th (Period Action Day) and Saturday, October 18th, from 4:00–5:00 PM PST on Zoom, and are open to girls and women of all ages.

Period Action Day Bake Sale
PERIOD @ Cary and PERIOD @ Duke are delighted to team up to host the Period Action Day Bake Sale. There will be delicious baked goods available for sale, including gluten free and vegan options. Additionally, we will be playing period mythbusters, and we will have menstrual trivia. Prizes will be rewarded for busting myths and answering questions correctly!
