We are hosting a film screening in honor of Period Action Day. The screening will take place at the University of Oklahoma’s campus at the Meacham Auditorium located in the Oklahoma Memorial Union. The film screened will feature topics relating to women’s health, menstruation, and period poverty. This will address these topics holistically as well as incorporate cultural and social lenses for understanding menstrual equity. This film screening will be organized jointly by Women’s Health Advocacy and Students for Reproductive Justice to both expand our outreach into the community as well as improve our ability to address reproductive health from multiple viewpoints. The event will be open and free to the public and aims to engage students, faculty, and community members in our mission to eradicate period poverty, while raising awareness of and expanding access to reproductive health resources. There will be free snacks and beverages provided as well.
